HCMC – Hanoi Investment Holdings Limited has offloaded 250,000 shares of FPT Retail Company (FRT), reducing its ownership from 5% to 4.6%, equivalent to 3.15 million FRT shares. Meanwhile, Viola Ltd and Vietnam Enterprise Investment under the umbrella of fund manager Dragon Capital have sold a combined 649,000 FRT shares. However, 11 investment funds of Dragon Capital still own a total 18.5% stake in the enterprise. FRT share price is around VND78,000 each on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange.

HCMC – Vincom Retail Company (VRT) inaugurated three Vincom Plaza commercial centers in HCMC, Son La and Nghe An provinces last week, taking to 54 the total number of Vincom centers in 30 cities and provinces nationwide.

HCMC – Phuoc Hoa Rubber Company (PHR) said its net profit surged 51.2% year-on-year to VND103.7 billion in the second quarter of this year thanks to earnings from rubber wood sale. Its revenue rose 9.8% to VND178 billion in the period. PHR’s net profit climbed 26.4% to VND167.9 billion in the first half of this year, while its revenue fell 24% to VND371.7 billion in the period.

HCMC – Vinh Hoan Corporation (VHC) booked revenue of US$163 million from exports in the first half of this year, which rose 14% over the same period last year and fulfilled 47% of the year’s target. In June, its revenue from exports fell 3% to US$32.4 million. The U.S. was the largest export market of VHC, accounting for 64% of the total export revenue of VHC in the period.

HANOI – Cadivi Dong Nai Company has purchased 1.75 million shares of Hanoi Plastic Company (NHH) to secure a 51.86% stake in the enterprise. Cadivi Dong Nai is now the biggest shareholder at the firm, followed by MB Capital, IB Securities Company and Red Capital.

HANOI – Sai Gon Song Tien Beer Company (SST) will pay a 2017 second round dividend in cash for shareholders at 139%. Payment will be made on August 3. In March, the enterprise offered a 2017 first round dividend in cash at 100%, having paid a total cash dividend at 235% last year. SST is capitalized at VND40 billion.
