No causal relation between Grab’s acts and Vinasun’s damages: procuracy

The ride-hailing firm Grab does not commit illegal acts, and there is no causal relationship between Grab’s violations if any and the local taxi operator Vinasun’s extracontractual damages. As a result, the HCMC Superior People’s Procuracy has appealed against the entire first-instance judgment forcing Grab to pay VND4.8 billion to Vinasun in compensation.

Deputy PM visits North Korea

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh today, February 12, begins a three-day visit to North Korea at the invitation of North Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs Ri Yong-ho, the local media reported.

HCMC's purchasing power increases during Tet

The purchasing power during the Tet Holiday recorded at supermarkets and traditional markets in HCMC rose 12%-15% versus last year's holiday. Local residents mainly bought essential items for Tet such as meat, processed foods, confectionery, and jams among others, according to the municipal Department of Industry and Trade.

Authority warns of foreign goods carrying “Made in Vietnam” labels

There is a tendency that foreign goods borrow Vietnamese origins to illegally gain benefits from free trade agreements that Vietnam has participated in, and use such origins to avoid trade defense measures taken by import countries, according to the Export-Import Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade on its website.
