VNA listed among top 10 most valuable Vietnamese brands in 2018

HCMC – Vietnam Airlines (VNA) ranked eighth among the top 10 most valuable Vietnamese brands in 2018, according to a report by Brand Finance, the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy.

As of January 1 this year, the brand value of the national flag carrier was US$416 million, up 34% year-on-year, elevating its position by one spot on the list of most valuable local brands compared with the 2017 rankings.

VietnamPlus cited a Brand Finance estimation as saying that VNA’s brand value last year accounted for 10% of the carrier’s total value, up from 8% in 2017.

Earlier, it was honored as the 2018 National Brand by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the National Brand Council for the second time. It was also the only carrier in the local aviation sector to win the title last year.

This year, VNA aims to develop its fleet with more modern and ecofriendly aircraft and to expand its air route network, while offering new in-flight entertainment services using wireless networks, to increase its position in terms of brand value.

Apart from this, the carrier is collaborating with celebrity chef Luke Nguyen to improve the quality of VNA’s in-flight meals, as well as boost the application of advanced technology in its business.
