HCMC - The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM), in coordination with the Italian Embassy, will organize an Italian cuisine program called “True Italian Taste - Mediterranean Diet" in Hanoi on April 5 to promote the Italian culinary tradition and authentic Italian products.

According to ICHAM chairman Mihele D’Ercole, the program launched by the Italian government has been implemented in over 40 countries worldwide.

This will be the first such program in Vietnam. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy authentic Italian dishes prepared by leading Italian restaurants in Vietnam, talk with experts about the dining style of the Mediterranean people, take part in an exhibition on Italian cuisine history and culinary habits of the Italians, and enjoy Italian music.

Notably, world-renowned Italian chef Piero Palmigiani will show up in the program, according to Nhan Dan newspaper.

Miss Vietnam 2010 Ngoc Han has been chosen as the ambassador of the event. She will also join other global True Italian Taste ambassadors in a trip to Italy in June and then return to Vietnam to bring Italian cuisine closer to the Vietnamese.
