HCMC - Thai Huong, chairwoman of the board of the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), has personally provided funding for a bridge to an upland area to mark VSF’s five-year journey of supporting the community.

VSF will start building the bridge this year to help hundreds of children get to school safely, ease traffic and boost the local economy.

This announcement was made at a ceremony held recently to celebrate the fifth birthday of VSF. The event marked the foundation’s first steps to carry out community programs. It also showed VSF’s deep gratitude to organizations and individuals who have accompanied the foundation from the very first days of its establishment.

At the event, VSF organized an auction of a chrysanthemum painting with the hammer price of VND45 million to support disadvantaged children. The event also raised another VND196 million from many individuals and organizations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Thai Huong said VSF was set up as a charitable organization to help the needy.

Licensed by the Ministry of Home Affairs in December 2014, VSF has implemented many meaningful programs for the physical and mental development of Vietnamese children.
