This will be the city’s second Covid-19 rescue package, after the first one was released last year, said Le Minh Tan, director of the HCMC Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

The HCMC People’s Committee will present the proposal on the package to the People’s Council for approval at its meeting late this month.

Each member of poor and near-poor families will receive VND250,000 per month for three months.
