Meanwhile, the new case in Long An is a driver who daily travels between HCMC and Long An Province.

Last night, he came to the medical center of Binh Loi Nhon Commune, Tan An City, Long An Province to undergo a quick Covid-19 test as a person he had met in HCMC had tested positive for Covid-19.

The result came back positive and a later PCR test had the same result.

His neighborhood, including 34 households with 125 residents, has been put on lockdown, while the places where he had visited have been disinfected. As of 11 a.m. today, 11 F1 cases and 26 F2 cases have been found.

However, 27 people in close contact with the worker will continue undergoing quarantine at their company.

The provincial Center for Disease Control also asked the 850 workers to limit contact with others and follow pandemic prevention and control measures.
